I am surprised at the number of people who have never seen a motor scooter like that. More pictures from that meet should show up soon on wwwsoutheasterncushmanclub.com

  • I may have already asked this if so sorry...

Do you think its possible to do a vanguard conversion on a 811.30 Allstate???

  • Never say never, Fred. My guess is that it would be a tight fit. The 811.30 uses the short frame, and the longer frame from a Jetsweep or a Pacemaker might work better. Best bet is an Eagle frame, but if you want something different an Allstate-Vanguard would fill the bill. Imagine the performance you would get with a big engine in a small scooter!

  • Yes that is what I am looking for... An attention getter...

  • Were all Allstate's red?

  • I don't remember seeing anything but red on the early Allstates, but after about 1957, there were some color choices. I just looked at a 1966 Sears Catalog and it shows red, black, silver and blue scooters, but by that time, they were no longer selling Cushman Allstates.

A few restorers use other Cushman colors on their Allstates, especially those made 1957 and later.

The 811.40 is the attention getter of the Allstate line.

Come to think of it, some of the 811.40's came with a black panel on the lower body, but they were mostly red.
