Doodlebug

This little scooter is powered by a 1.5 horsepower Briggs & Stratton engine. It's a Doodlebug, circa 1946, manufactured by Beam Mfg Co of Webster City, Iowa. 40,000 were produced and sold by Gambles and maybe Western Auto. A few had Clinton engines.

The first motor-powered vehicle I ever rode was a Doodlebug. I wish I had one.
